                  A brother once shared the results of a Swiss study on factors in children’s attendance of religious services. The study showed that two-thirds of all children will attend religious services at least sporadically if their father attends regularly. Two-thirds will not attend religious services if their father never attends. Why is this that a father has such a great influence? We cannot deny the results but perhaps we can better understand.            Have you ever looked at a child and said, “he looks like his dad.” it is pretty easy to tell if we can look at a man’s son and see the physical likeness? We might also notice the family resemblance in a child's mannerisms. Also, one tell-tale sign of a father is a child's attitude. You may think of historical figures in this nation. You may think about different organizations that have stood the test of time. What do you think of when you think about yourself? Do you associate this word with your life? This is certainly a struggle for many as they go through life and make decisions. Sometimes this struggle is more often associated with failure than success. This can lead us to question just what kind of legacy we might leave.  ...

“A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies.  The heart of her husband trusteth in her, And he shall have no lack of gain. “ Prov 31:10-11 A godly wife is an irreplaceable treasure. A godly wife is a blessing to her husband, their children, and the church of the Living God. When we consider the Bible, there are many accounts of the type of women we need in the Lord’s church.       We need women of great faith. Mark 5:25-34 tells of a woman who suffered from an issue of blood for a period of twelve years. She did not just suffer from the issue of bleeding and the uncleanliness (Lev 15) that would go along with it, she suffered at the hands of the very physicians that were supposed to be able to heal her. She had every reason to be bitter and angry. Her faith was still great. “For she said, If I touch but his garments, I shall be made whole”  (Mark 5:28). When she reached out and touched the Lord, she received the healing she so desired....

  “And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the nine?  Were there none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger?  And he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. “  Luke 17:17-19      I am so very thankful for the good Christians here in Grove. There are many faithful, kind, giving, and encouraging servants who work diligently for the Lord here, and we are truly blessed. Showing gratitude is something we all want to do because we have so much for which to be thankful. In Luke 17:11-19, Jesus healed 10 lepers, and, upon that healing, they were sent to show themselves to the priest. Only one of the ten turned and showed gratitude.
